just a little before i go

i have not had much time today.

mainly do to the fact that my love showed up on my doorstep approximately 5 hours earlier than expected.

a very welcome surprise.

and me...well, i was still in morning mode.

bed head. jammies. a little mascara from yesterday.

a little mortified.

he tried to capture the moment on film. thankfully not. unfortunately i don't have the evidence to show you. i'll let your imagination run wild though.

but like i said. a very welcome surprise.

what is even better is that yesterday by way of being inspired by inchmark i started a journal.

Writing down 5 things that happened that day.

i can't wait to write this one down.

ETSY LOVE

Have you visited Suann's lovely little shop Simplesong Designs?

Not only is she one of the most wonderful people you will work with, she is also amazingly talented.

Last week, when I was having a bit of a bad day, I stopped by her shop to order a few little pick-me-ups for my desk.

When I came home to this little package last night, I could not have been happier!

Push pins that will always make me smile.
And these letterpress cards. To. Die. For. I am already planning whos day I can brighten with these babies.
I really do love Etsy. The people are always so fabulously wonderful and knowing that I am purchasing from someone who put so much love and effort into this just makes it that much better.

ERR..

It has been serious.

The writers block that is.

Something happened last week - it was like all the words were just gone.

I'm pretty sure that it had something to do with time management.

And maybe a little something to do with still wanting to be on vacation.

But I am back, and I am here for good.

This weekend was a wonderful one filled with good friends, good family and good times. It was the perfect amount of relaxation and excitement. Last night I fell asleep feeling very content with it all. That my friends is how every Sunday should end - perfectly ready to face the coming week with vigor and excitement.

TWENTY SEVEN CENTS

Twenty seven cents is all it takes:

To make someone feel missed...[heart stamp included]
To tell someone you like their style...

To let someone know they make you __________.....

Or

To remind peeps that 12 midnight PDT TONIGHT is the last time to enter for a mustache t-shirt...

Rebecca Ann Rakstad [AKA Reba Rar Rar] of Rar Rar Press creates letterpress printed postcards. All of her products are pressed using hand set type. WOW.

DELICIOUS NOTECARDS

On a whim I picked up a box of these sweet reproduction ephemera cards. A little Barnes & Noble find - $6.95 for 24! They are technically gift cards which means they are smaller than a regular note card but so very very sweet.
I think you can get these online too!

TOP DRAWER

The top drawer of my desk is filled with a stash of stationary. I have always loved anything paper related and can never pass up a pretty find. Lately I have noticed that my stash has dwindled and I am on the prowl for some pretty new paper. So far, these are my top choices:

This Bluebell Birds and Leaves boxed set ($12!) from Paper Source. As always I can never get enough of everything in that store. I literally browse for hours and pretty much covet everything. I think these would be perfect to send a little “hello” note.

{image via Paper Source} I am pretty much in love with this, again from Paper Source. It is a linen folio set called “Love & Forgiveness.” It comes filled with a variety of cards, writing papers, envelopes, expressions, letter writing tips and a coordinating pen (I love pens). This folio also comes in red.

Anything monogrammed makes its way into my heart. I would love to have Megan from Megan creates work with me to create the perfect little note card.

While these don’t technically fall into the stationary category, I want them all the same. Calling cards seem to be all the rage lately and I cannot help but to stare at these and contemplate which one I like most! Less formal than a business card but classier than a napkin.

Oh! I just discovered these from Papyrus. I will be going over to get them on my lunch break. “See you later, alligator” and “How the devil are you?” (see the devil horn?!) These are too fun to pass up!
